Ingredients for 2 portions

Method

  1. Wash and hull 200 g fresh strawberries, then cut them into small pieces. Roughly chop 50 g blanched raw almonds.
  2. Measure 100 g plain dry rolled oats and 400 g plain whole-milk yogurt. Divide half the oats between two bowls; add half the strawberries, then spoon 200 g yogurt into each bowl.
  3. Finish with the remaining oats, berries and 25 g almonds per bowl. Serve at once while the oats stay crisp; if preferred, leave for 5 minutes for a softer texture.

Inspired by Prince de Bretagne’s strawberry muesli bowl. Plain rolled oats replace a prepared muesli mix; whole-milk yogurt replaces skyr, and almonds specify the source’s optional nut mix. The source’s optional honey/syrup is omitted so the recipe remains lacto-vegetarian. The photograph includes other berries not listed here. Eight-minute preparation and calories are estimates; fresh strawberries may be seasonal or unavailable locally.
